This post is all about how a dramatic change in the world's general lifestyle altered my plans to have my cards printed by a professional printer, and how I worked on the project in general. Back in early 2019, rumours circulated on national and global news outlets about a virus which had resurfaced from the Chinese province of Wuhan. Because the news was in its early stages, nobody really understood just how much trouble and logistical problems this virus was about to cause. This virus would come to be known globally as Coronavirus, or COVID-19. To cut an exceptionally long story short, the virus quickly spread to many other countries including Spain, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United States of America and the United Kingdom. It was found that the virus was most dangerous to those who had underlying health conditions that affected the respiratory system, such as lung cancer, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (or COPD) or Asthma, and dangerous to the elderly or people with weakened immune systems. Those who were overweight or smoked were also more at risk. The governing bodies of these countries were quick to instil measures which hoped to prevent the spread of the virus, including instructing people how to wash their hands and making the decision to shut down public houses, restaurants, clubs and restrict the amount of people gathering in a public place to two, or even one. However, it was only a matter of time before public 'lockdowns' became a reality. Because the situation in the United Kingdom was getting even more dire by the day, my family and I had to start thinking about the idea that it would become difficult or even unfeasible to get my cards printed by a professional printer.
Before we knew it, Prime Minister Boris Johnson made the decision to put the UK into lockdown. As well as several lifestyle changes, I then had to manage and create the rest of the project at my family home in Surrey.
