Deciding Character Colours (26/02/2020)

Although it's a minor task, my teammate and I thought it would be a good idea to decide on some character colours. In board and card games, definitive colours can go a long way in sticking in people's minds or giving little insights into a character's background. It also serves to further establish a character's design. The board and card game Colt Express does this well, assigning six definitive colours to their six definitive bandit characters.

This information can be found on page 16 of my black sketchbook.

---

Native American : Green and brown

Gunslinger : Red and black (or grey) (waistcoat)

Cowgirl : (Denim) blue and brown (?)

Cavalry Sergeant : Blue (dark) and yellow

Gambler : Purple and gold

Prospector : (Sky) blue and beige

- Blues need to vary greatly to be distinguishable

- These colours will be displayed on character cards, icons and any other cards where these characters are mentioned

Virgil's colours (Sergeant) are blue and yellow of his background working for the Union.

Both Riley and Sidewinder (Native American) have brown due to their backgrounds of living off the land.

Red and black are the colours of a true gunslinger
